but is it clothing optional?

OK, this has been bugging me. how should we dress for this affair? casual? business casual? PROM NIGHT?

i'm the wrong guy to ask, as i sit in my office wearing running clothes and preparing to change back in to my sharp ensemble of sneakers, jeans and a t-shirt. that being said, i'd be perfectly comfortable transferring that look to my "reunion attire."

so i put this out to everyone in blogger-land: what're we looking at for a reunion dress theme? i'm voting casual, especially if it means i can wear sneaks... they're better for cutting rug...

t-minus under five days. send me your feelings on this!!

More news!

yep. i've been slacking - and slacking very badly. i'm a horrible blogger, and everyone who's responsible for putting me in charge should be punished severely.

but, you can bet that whenever i do post something it's got some cool stuff to go along with it!

so, here's some more updates on our classmates... we're two weeks away, folks! can't wait!!

Hello to all my former classmates.

First, a big thanks to the reunion team for organizing our 10 year class reunion it truly is hard to believe that 10 years has flown by this quick.

As most of you know, 2 months after H.S. graduation I fled to San Diego CA and haven't looked back since. While in college I worked at Ruth Chris Steak House and Donovan's Steak House as a hostess in order to make ends meat...no pun intended.

After I graduated with my BA I stayed at Donovan's where I was promoted to event sales manager planning corporate, Charger, Padres and local patron's events. I have to say it was a lot of fun! However, all the fun and games had to stop at some point which is why I made the transition from event sales to Pharmaceutical sales.

So for the last two years I have been promoting products to OB GYN's and Internal Medicine doctors in La Jolla, Del Mar and Encinitas CA. Just a small note to Dr. Laura Noddin....It's all about Protonix IV and Oral therapy for your nightime GERD patients. See I really do this all day for a living. Nonetheless, I hope to make it to the reunion. If I do I will pay my ticket at the door as it will be a last minute decision. Oh and one more thing...I am not nor have not been married and no children yet...but afterall, I'm still young and having fun out here in Southern Cali.

Hope to see you soon. All the best to the class of 1996!

big updates!

hey all -

OK, in between slacking off at work and following the T.O. "suicide attempt fiasco" on ESPN.com all day, i've found the time to make a decent-sized update. so, without further ado (in order of being received):

I felt the need to give a small detail about what I have done in 10yrs.. even though I hate to think that it has been that long! anyway..long story short. went to college... graduated.. (associates in early childhood)..was a nanny for almost 5 years..while working at pats pizza and at Bow St. Market doing bookwork and now here we are... Along the way while working at pats pizza during high school and college I met Mike, who now is my husband... we are living in freeport on the water, where we have completely renovated and built an addition to a camp of my husbands family into a home for us..we have done a lot of work ourselves so it has been a long 5 years..(i think it has been that long) we have been married for almost 2 years now and have a beautiful little girl named Ella... I have a child care in our home and I am completely enjoying being a stay at home mom.. It is sad to think that I just summed up my life in the past 10 yrs into a paragraph.. but i think i managed it well.. very brief and to the point..

the reunion should be fun.. thanks for all the work!

I have recently been back in Maine for a short visit (my brother Tyler's wedding), and heard of this site through Jennifer Barschdorf, figured since my name was on the list of MIA it might be a good idea to let my original classmates know that I am still alive and kickin. Unfortunatly I will not be coming to the reunion, I live in New Zealand, but will be sending good thoughts to everyone and wishing that I could be there to see you all and learn from your various experiences. After moving to Southern Oregon in 96, I continued to pursue longer, more arduous plane rides home and followed work opportunities to the Southern Hemisphere. Actually, my heart was broken and I fled to make things a bit more exciting! So for the past 3.5 years I have resided in Kiwiland guiding for a company out of Queenstown (yes, Nick L. skiing on some of the slopes we used to drool over from the Blizzard of Ahhhs! and taking a helicopter to work every day). Life there is definetly a bit upside down by comparison to Maine, but it's a good one and I plan to live there for a little while longer at least. It was really nice being back in Maine for a while, I miss my old classmates and think and wonder after most everyone often. I would love to hear from someone, anyone, it gets a bit lonely down there (since visiting is rough for people being so far away) so drop me a line! If there is an adventure needed by any of you then pay me a visit and we can jump off and out of some things together to induce fear and help us enjoy this life just a little bit more.

Truly all the best, hope to see you soon. Ryan

awesome to hear from RT via the southern hemisphere - he even sent photo evidence... which will be uploaded when blogger.com stops being snippy.

the stuff's pouring in, and the countdown is OFFICIALLY on...

Suanne Page

The hits just keep on rolling in! Here's Suanne Page (now Suanne Page-Tift) at her wedding in 2004 - Darcie Hayward was her Maid of Honor as well.

This is awesome, everyone - I'm amazed at the feedback, responses and how people are embracing this - makes me all warm and fuzzy... just give me a minute... I promised myself I wouldn't do this...

After graduation I quickly realized that taking classes without knowing what field I wanted to work in sucked...I didn't feel like paying $$$ to bounce around taking classes aimlessly so I decided to join the Mighty Coast Guard until I could figure out what I wanted out of my life. It turned out that was a great move because I love my job. It's a good fit for me...the military strictness appeals to my anally retentive side and the drunken sailor part appeals to my...well...my drunken sailor side. As an electronic technician I have been all around the world, seen a lot of things...and I can retire in 12 years...I currently have a sweet job...I was accepted into an advanced education program through the CG where they are sending me back to school to complete my B.S. in Electronic Engineering. I got married 4 years ago and have an 18 month old little future heartbreaker, Alexander. The wife and I just bought a house in Rhode Island, so if anyone's ever in the area look me up...Most of the time I'm either playing paintball or at home hanging with the little monkey. That's about it for now 'eh...
